Mission Statement

Ramblin’ Vewe Farm Trust is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to protect and preserve Ramblin’ Vewe Farm, conserve the heritage of working farms and rural landscapes, foster educational and recreational activities and create trails to connect people, communities and the land.

How to get to Rambin’ Vewe Farm.

Ramblin’ Vewe Farm is located on Morrill Street in Gilford, NH. From the Route 3/11 bypass around Laconia exit east on Rt. 11A towards Gilford Village and Gunstock Mountain. At the blinking traffic light in Gilford Village turn left up School House Rd. At the top of School House Rd. turn left on Gunstock Hill Rd and then take an immediate right onto Morrill St. Ramblin’ Vewe Farm is about 1/2 mile further on the left.

Ramblin' Vewe Farm

Ramblin’ Vewe Farm has been in operation since 1987. The farm maintains a flock registered purebred sheep comprised of two breeds: Suffolk and Targhee. These sheep are selected to meet the high standards of their respective breeds as well as to produce high quality meat, wool and breeding stock replacements for the local and New England market. Forty acres of hay are cut twice annually producing approximately 7500 bales of hay, 2000 of which are consumed on the farm. The balance is sold to neighboring farms. Another 245 acres of the property has been set aside for forestry and recreation. This combination of farming and forestry has been unique to the New England landscape for generations. The farm is managed by a full time shepherd who handles day-to-day operations, and a Board of Trustees. The Ramblin’ Vewe Farm Trust was established in the hope that this property will continue to be an example of sound agricultural and forestry practices as well as providing educational amd recreational opportunities for generations to come.
